Our Children (“Yeladim Shelanu”) Foundation

Our Children Foundation is an organization of friends and fundraising arm on behalf of Schneider Children’s Medical Center. The foundation was founded in 1993 by Helen Schneider (ז"ל) and Iris Langer in order to improve the well-being of hospitalized children and their families.

The foundation promotes quality of care by purchasing state-of-the-art medical equipment, supporting relevant research and providing ongoing assistance to medical staff. For more information, visit www.ourchildren.org.il, or Our Children on Facebook.

Our Children’s donors, friends and volunteers take an active role in the realization of the organization’s goals: to recruit the necessary resources needed to improve the child’s welfare and accord the best medical care possible for children.

To attain these goals, Our Children acquires equipment for departments and clinics, sponsors research and training, and initiates and funds projects and programs to strengthen and support children’s empowerment such as the Starlight project, a multimedia game, art and entertainment center, Integrative (complementary) Medicine, a “Gift-for-Every-Child” project, library and “Child Life” activity rooms in departments.

There are more than 500 volunteers who help fulfill wishes and distribute gifts to hospitalized children to promote their well-being and quality of life.
